Save on the mess with these one-handed chicken drumettes that pack a spicy kick!
Directions for: One-Hand Spicy Chicken Drumettes
Ingredients
24 piece raw chicken drumettes
1 lb(s) green Hungarian hot peppers, seeded and chopped
3 Thai bird's eye chile peppers
1 cup roasted red peppers, seeded and skinned
1 large onion, sliced thin
1 tsp salt
4 clove garlic, minced
1 cup white vinegar
cup maple syrup
pinch dry mustard
1 tsp Tabasco-brand pepper sauce
Directions
1. Combine all of the ingredients into a medium sized saut pan and simmer over low heat until all of the vegetables are tender, approximately 30 minutes.
2. Remove the cooked sauce from the heat. Blend the sauce in the pot with a hand immersion blender and puree until the hot sauce is smooth and creamy. Set the pureed hot sauce aside and allow to cool completely.
3. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F. Place the raw chicken drumettes into a shallow roasting pan. Add 2 cups of the hot sauce and coat the chicken completely. Place the coated chicken into the oven and roast until tender and cooked through- approximately 35-45 minutes. The chicken will be completely cooked when the juices run clear. Remove the chicken from the oven and serve while still warm.
