Man Made Tandoori Chicken

Directions for: Man Made Tandoori Chicken

Ingredients

6 Tbsp prepared Tandoori paste (90 ml)

cup full fat yogurt (60 ml)

1 3 lb(s) air chilled chicken (1.6 kg)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Thinly sliced white onion, for garnish

Coriander leaves, for garnish

Directions

1. Preheat an oven to 400F.

2. In a bowl, whisk together the tandoori paste and yogurt.

3. The chicken can be left whole or cut into 8 pieces. Coat the chicken with the tandoori paste and put in a airtight container to marinate overnight.

4. After marinating the chicken overnight, remove/brush marinade from chicken.

5. Season the chicken and roast in the preheated oven for 1 hours or until juices run clear.

6. Remove the chicken from the oven and let rest, loosely covered, for 5 minutes. The chicken can also be cooked on the barbecue.

7. Serve the chicken strewn with thinly sliced white onion and coriander leaves.
