Directions for: Gingered Chicken Wings
Ingredients
2 lb(s) chicken wings, tips off (900 g)
cup honey (125 ml)
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated (5 ml)
1 tsp coarse salt or to taste (5 ml)
1 Tbsp sesame seeds for garnishing (15 ml)
Directions
1. In a medium bowl, combine honey, garlic, ginger and salt, stir until well blended. Add chicken drummettes and mix well until wings are well coated. Allow them to marinade for 4 to 5 hours.
2. Preheat oven to 400 F. Grease a non-stick baking pan and arrange chicken drummettes on it. Set liquid that remains aside. Bake wings for 15 minutes on one side. Using a pair of tongues turn them and coat them with remaining liquid. Allow them to bake for an additional 7 to 8 minutes.
3. When golden brown, remove them from the oven and allow them to settle and cool. When cool, arrange them on a platter and sprinkle them with sesame seeds. Serve.
